The SCHIRN is dedicating a major solo exhibition to SELMA SELMAN, featuring newly developed works. An installation made of multi-shell grabbers alludes, with the poetic title FLOWERS OF LIFE, to her family's livelihood, which involves collecting and reselling scrap metal. The video work "Crossing the Blue Bridge" is based on the memories of her mother, who had to cross a bridge in her hometown of Bihać with her daughter during the Bosnian War in 1994. The exhibition runs from June 20 to September 15, 2024.
